We believe in the luxury of simplicity. Our products are thoughtfully minimalist as we only use one ingredient – Nilotica Shea nut. Using the cold press extraction method, we retain all-natural properties making it high-effective.
Indigenous to Northern Uganda, Nilotica Shea nut derives from the Vitellaira Nilotica tree by the river Nile belt- a sub species of a the Karite shea nut tree. Nilotica is considered a premium shea butter due to its rarity and also having a higher content of Oleic Acid than West African shea making it a super-rich moisturiser, soft, lightweight and powerful in healing & nourishing properties.
Our shea butter is softer in its raw form and has a light and luxurious feel. With a touch, the Nilotica is easy to apply as it instantly melts in your hands as it adjusts to your body temperature, which allows the product to be absorbed into the skin, leaving you feeling moisturised all day.
In its solid state, the Nilotica Shea butter is rich and creamy.
Our Nilotica Shea butter has a quite mild earthy scent to no scent.
Our Shea nuts are ethically and sustainably sourced from a small scale of local women producers we have worked with from the very beginning. We work with these women from the women-owned Shea cooperative in the rural Lango Region, Northern Uganda.
We are committed to and driven by a desire to empower women. Every purchase contributes to the support of these local women producers as we support them to access to the global economy and with economic sustainability.
We only use Grade A shea nuts which is the highest quality of nut available. Our shea nuts are also wildcrafted meaning that it is has been sourced from trees grown in the wild-their natural habitat.
A rich source of vitamin A,F, K and E and other powerful antioxidants, Nilotica Shea butter has a beneficial effect on the hair and skin, nourishing, moisturising, strengthening, collagen-producing, protecting against free radicals damage.
All of our products are handmade with care in small batches to ensure freshness and quality, this gives us as much control over the entire production process.
